Tigers' Jackson Jobe will have elbow surgery, miss remainder of season
Published in Baseball
BALTIMORE – The Detroit Tigers announced just before the Tigers' game against the Baltimore Orioles Wednesday night that right-hander Jackson Jobe will undergo elbow surgery to repair his ulnar collateral ligament.
He will miss the remainder of the season.
Jobe, 22, was shut down after his 10th start on May 28. He was initially diagnosed with a Grade 1 strain of his flexor tendon. Further tests showed damage to the UCL.
General manager Jeff Greenberg and manager AJ Hinch are expected to provide more details later on.
