NEW YORK — The “Pink Pony Club” will be riding into Queens for four nights this fall when Chappell Roan brings her “Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things” pop-up show to Forest Hills Stadium.
The newly minted Grammy Award winner for Best New Artist announced Thursday that she’ll play the historic venue on Sept. 20, 21, 23 and 24.
Roan partnered with CashApp to offer 15% cash back on tickets purchased using the app’s Visa debit card. Her team is also utilizing Fair AXS, a feature offered by the ticketing company to limit third-party sellers from cashing in.
Now through July 27, fans can register for a chance to buy up to four tickets on ChappellRoanShows.com. Fans will be selected at random to access the tickets and notified via email from Aug. 5-7.
New York City is among a string of three U.S. stops, including Kansas City and Pasadena, that Roan will be playing before stepping away to write her next album.
“I love these three cities so much and wanted the chance to do something special for them this year,” she said in a statement on social media. “Because we’re only coming to three cities, I wanted to make sure we’re keeping ticket prices as affordable as possible and we’re trying to keep them away from scalpers.”
The singer-songwriter, is also donating $1 from each ticket sold to organizations that provide resources and support for transgender youth.
“It is so important that I give back to the trans community as they have given me so much throughout my entire career,” she said.
