Trump blames Biden for flamethrower attack on pro-Israel event in Colorado

President Donald Trump on Monday blamed former President Joe Biden for the weekend flamethrower terror attack on supporters of Israel in Boulder, Colorado, which was allegedly carried out by an undocumented immigrant from Egypt.
Trump said lax immigration security allowed accused attacker Mohamed Sabry Soliman to remain in the U.S. after overstaying his tourist visa.
“He came in through Biden’s ridiculous open border policy, which has hurt our country so badly. He must go out under ‘Trump’ policy,” Trump wrote on his social media site.
“We must keep our borders secure, and deport illegal, anti-American radicals,” he added.
Biden did not immediately comment on the attack or Trump’s accusations.
The FBI said Soliman meticulously planned the attack that injured eight people, including a Holocaust survivor, for about a year. He allegedly deliberately targeted the Boulder event held to support the hostages held by Palestinian militants in Gaza and yelled “Free Palestine” during the attack.
An FBI affidavit says Soliman confessed to targeting what he called a “Zionist group” after being arrested Sunday. He told the police he would do it again.
Soliman, a father of five, was living in the U.S. illegally after having entered the country in August 2022 on a tourist visa that expired in February 2023.
Authorities said Soliman filed for asylum in September 2022 and was granted a work authorization in March 2023. That work permit later expired in March of this year, according to a senior DHS official who spoke with ABC News.
